The Chat Conversations API is new as of July 2018. This API enables a third-party application (for example - a chatbot!) to act as a Zendesk Chat agent.
A developer can develop their own chatbot service, a bot that uses a third-party bot service provider, or work with one of our recommended chatbot partners.
Once you have your own bot, connect it with your Zendesk Chat account and you're all set for having your own automated chatbot agent!
