We are integrating custom objects through Zendesk Sunshine and showing them through a custom app in Zendesk. The source of this data can only do the traditional HTTP verbs: GET, PUT, POST, and DELETE. Because of this, we are unable to have the source update Sunshine Object Records since that requires the newer HTTP verb PATCH. For reference, the source is NetSuite, so any other customers using NetSuite will likely also have this issue.
Would it be possible to support HTTP verb tunneling (for example, use a POST request with a header of something like "X-HTTP-Method-Override: PATCH") to make it more straightforward to implement with older systems? Here is an example API from Microsoft that supports tunneling.
(I had originally filed this as a support request but the recommendation was the forums since this is more of a feature request.)
